tci GmbH on light+building 2008 – successful exhibition for the german industrial computers manufacturer
The 5th Light+Building in Frankfurt am Main closed its doors on 11 April after setting a sensational trade-fair record. More than 165,000 visitors (2006: 135,000) came to the international trade fair for architecture and technology to see the vast range of products and services for the fields of lighting, electrical engineering and house and building automation presented by 2,173 exhibitors. Compared to the last Light+Building two years ago, this represents a huge leap of 22 percent.
The Light+Building, international trade fair for architecture and technology in Frankfurt/Main, is the world largest innovation platform for industry. The industrial computer manufacturer tci from Heuchelheim/Giessen in Germany presented its "ambiento series” successfully in this surrounding field: More than 400 professional visitors came to the ambiento stand C74 in hall 9.1. With the ambiento series tci brought a noble Touch panel on the market, which serves as representative front-end for all technological building services. The timeless design allows owing to the high-quality and genuine material-mixes adaption to any interior decoration. Ambiento is optically and functionally the central and representative switching center for the building services of reputable manufacturers. It brings design, functionality, building engineering, security and energy efficiency together. Only by means of automation and functional linkage of components and technical building services an intelligent interaction and a perfect building management is possible.
The ambiento series were shown in all sizes and in many design combinations on tci the exhibition booth at light+building. In addition variations of the flat panel PC series ambientomura with place saving 8" and 15" display were exhibited, which is offered alternatively as in-wall-system in the crosswise or portrait format. Special highlight was the demonstration of the interaction of the design touches of tci and the Multiroom system of WHD as well as intercoms of well-known manufacturers. Beyond that ambiento was presented on numerous further platforms of national and international partners as well as on the special show "Intelligent House of the Living" of the ZVEH.
For customers and visitors tci had a further special fair service: They could experience "the tci Smart Home" live. tci invited them to the smart home ambiento.lounge in Gießen and to the company with the large showroom in Heuchelheim, which are only about forty driving minutes far away from the Frankfurt fair.

Design and functionality with ambiento
The noble touch panel ambiento brings together, what belongs together: as high-quality front end it creates connections between comfort and security, building automation and multimedia as well as top design and energy saving. Its ultra flat design provides for pleasant ease. Special attention was put on the technical equipment and a high-quality, timeless design. Different surfaces are available: frosted glass optics, brushed aluminium and alternatively depositors from genuine wood veneer, in each case equipped with a brilliant 10", 15" or 19" touch display.
The on-wall system designs a "levitation effect". It is simple to install and to refit. An infrared movement alarm unit provides for gentle switching on and off. Loudspeakers and microphone for use as IP-supported intercom system with video function is integrated into the equipment front.
The areas of application of the ambiento series are modern, automated houses such as family houses, hotels, public buildings and congress centers.
The all-in-one PC supports all usual applications, like E-Mail, Internt, Office, music, video, notes and digital purchase list.

Built-in touch ambientomura
The new ambientomura scores with its ultra-flat design. As it is a slight built-in touchpanel with small depth, which can be mounted alternatively horizontally or vertically, it can be integrated even in rooms with limited proportions. The perfect Interior PC for the building automation controls for example light, heating and blinds, as well as audio, multi-room functions and room monitoring. It provides for maximum energy saving owing to the perfect optimization of all technical building services.
The design effect is emphasised by the aluminium applications. In combination with its black coloured surface, the ambientomura can be adapted to any interior. It is available with 8", 15" and 19"Touchscreen. When desired it is equippable with loudspeakers and microphone for the simple binding of IP-supported intercom systems (Push-To-Talk-unit). www.ambiento.de
