HDoverT for Industrial Automation

HDoverT is a standard for the digital transmission of high-resolution audio and video signals over long distances. A great advantage is the use of a standard CAT cable, with which distances of up to 100m can be bridged without loss of quality.

The areas of application are industrial use where the operating panel is to be mounted on the system while the computer is installed remotely in the control cabinet. Further application possibilities can be found in digital signage or in the building automation. The possible cable length depends on the quality of the network cable. Only direct cable connections are possible - network connections via switches or routers do not work.

The communication is bidirectional. The return channel enables transmission of the control signals to operate the PC (for example, via mouse, keyboard, touch). Optionally, the PC can supply the HDoverT display with power up to max. 60 watts via PoH (Power over HDoverT).
